Tieout

Terms

Last updated October 4, 2026. These terms cover your use of Tieout, made by Gold Standard Web (“we”). By using Tieout you agree to them.

What Tieout does

Tieout reads bank and similar account statements you provide and turns them into transactions you can export. It checks whether the transactions it read add up to the balances printed on the statement and shows you the result of that check.

Your responsibilities

•
Only add statements you have the right to use, such as your own or a client’s with their permission.
•
Check the results before you rely on them. The tie-out check is a strong sign the transactions were read correctly, but it is not a guarantee, and it can’t check a statement that doesn’t print both an opening and a closing balance.
•
Don’t use Tieout to break the law, to overload or attack the service, or to get around its limits.

Not financial advice

Tieout is a conversion tool. It is not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice.

Limits and changes

We limit how many statements can be added per day to keep the service running. We may change or stop features, and we will update these terms when we do; the date at the top shows the latest version.

No warranty

Tieout is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using it, including losses from relying on a conversion you did not check.
